El Cedral (Mayan Ruin) | Previously the largest Maya site on Cozumel
Island (first town of Cozumel), was the temple sited by the Spanish explorers
in 1518. The site also contains numerous small ruins. Every May, a small
festival is held there. Tour guides are recommended. | - |
| Museo de las Isla de Cozumel | This building on the main street downtown and
was Cozumel's first luxury hotel which was converted into a museum. This
2 floor building has 4 exhibit halls of the island's history and ecosystem.
Also on the ground floor (outside) is a replica of a Mayan house.
On the second floor, there is also a restaurant on the terrace overlooking

| Plaza del Sol, San Miguel | This is the main square of the town of San
Miguel. This square or "la plaza" as it is most frequently called,
is surrounded by restaurants, shops and buildings. | - |
| Punta Celerain Lighthouse, Cozumel, Mexico | This old lighthouse can only be access by car
(jeep recommended) and is located at southern eastern tip of the island.
To get there, you must take a 4km dirt road off the main road . After rainy
days, the roads are often flooded. You can climb the lighthouse and stay
for fried fish and beer. This site was temporarily closed late summer of

| San Gervasio Ruins | Largest ruin site in Cozumel located in the
interior of the island. Will need to taxi or drive. A guide is highly recommended
to learn of the fascinating history of the ruins. Entrance fee. |
