suburban, nice, air, 160 us per day including insurance. pretty good deal for eight of us. absolutely no hassles. LJ

We got stuck on this last winter from Budget.  They assured us that there was a Budget at the airport when we reserved a car from them. When we got to the airport, there was no Budget booth. The people from Executive said they would match the price so we took it.  When we got home, we called to see what was going on. What Budget had forgotten to tell us is that when we reserved from them, we had to go into town to get the car, but we could arrange it for them to drive us to the airport when we left.

i just called budget a few days ago...they wanted about $30/day for a small car. when i rented one on the island a few weeks ago, i paid $40 plus insurance/day for a comparable car (geo, i think) at less pay. also, i got hit with an extra 7% charge as i elected to pay for the car w/ a credit card. if u use budget, u are probably better off to pick the car up in town as opposed to the airport. budget said something about an extra tax to pick it up at the airport.

Budget was the cheapest American car rental company when we checked on the internet. $210 per week (not including tax) for a four-door standard Chevy. We went downtown to pick it up and it was smooth. The staff were friendly. They had our reservation and had a good car ready for us. It had air conditioning and ran well. We were very pleased with the car and used it a LOT. Returning the car was quick and easy with no surprises. Based on our experience, we will definitely use them again.

Just returned from Coz & rented a little Chevy from Budget.  Turned out to be $21 a day for a no a/c 5 speed car.  But for this rate you must book over internet and BE SURE to bring a printed copy of the reservation with you (including the price).  We only got the great rate because I had the printed record to prove it.  EVERYONE was amazed at the price I got - from our hotel staff to the Budget guy.  The next cheapest price we found for anyone was about $45 a day.  
By the way - Budget only has locations downtown - no pickup available at the airport.  So you have to go to your hotel and check in then call Budget - they will come get you to pick up the car.
