Comments: We did a day dive from a cruise ship with Alex and Alex based on
info from this message board. Let me tell you that Jorge with Alex and Alex is
one of the best. If your searching for an awsome divemaster, look no farther.
We asked him to find us a seahorse and he did! Thanks to everyone here who
recommended him.

Comments: Great dive operations. Lots of bottom time, great DM.
Jorge was our DM and he was fantastic with my 13 year old daughter.
Never rushed us. Went to any site that we asked about. Even dove
the C-53 wreck. Tell them what you want to do or see and they will take
you there. There was 8 of us and that was all that was on the boat.
All but one were new divers and Jorge took very good care of everyone.
Just remember in Cozumel these guys/gals make their living on tips, so if you
were happy with their service, show them at the end of the dive or trip.
Will use them again and again

Comments: I can't say enough about the wonderful experience I had with Alex
and Alex. Cathy, our dive master, knew exactly where to look for all the
critters we wanted to see.The service was quite exceptional, the gear was all
ready for us, all we had to do is strap it on and have fun !The largest group
we had was 8, the smallest 4 people. The boat was really fast and got us to
the dive sites in no time flat.Bottom time was extensive, they really used the
air we had to the max. We definitely are going to use them again on our next
trip !

Comments: These guys are the best! Alessandro (aka Alex, the owner) seems
to have a sixth sense about where the creatures are, and you will always see
something memorable on his dives--more than once, he brought a group of us to
look at something he'd spotted, and after we left a divemaster from another
(inferior!) dive shop would bring his/her group over to show them Alex's
discovery. He is also very good at getting great divemasters and instructors
who are just as good--all are trained as underwater naturalists, so they can
be very helpful during the surface intervals at identfying what you've seen.
Great with beginners--I did my checkout dives with them and can't imagine
going anywhere else...am returning to dive with them this winter to do my
Advanced cert., and am bringing along 18 members of my dive club because I
know the service and diving will be phenomenal! Good pricing, ALL boats are
small and fast, and they're willing to do some of the more distant advanced
sites for qualified divers that some of the other shops won't go to (Punta Sur,
etc.) Bottom line is that they're friendly, incredibly helpful, and are number
#1 for FUN both underwater and at the surface.
We dove with Alex and Alex during the week of 11-20/27, and they were
FANTASTIC! Our family of 4 went on our first "real" dive since our
certification, and I am so glad we chose Alex and Alex (aka Blue Angel). The
groups were very small and the service was great. They were on time, and the
boat picked us up right at the resort (Allegro). Each dive was
"customized for what we wanted to see, and I believe we saw it all!
Spotted Eagle Ray, sea turtles, sharks, moray eel, parrot fish, and about a
zillion other plants and creatures. Catherine and George were excellent...
Understanding and very interesting. They pointed out things, but were not
intrusive...The ideal tour operation! Thanks Alex and Alex! Darlyne Jackson
They are a small dive shop right beside Papa Hogs. While the owners
are great, they often are not around due to their popularity.
They've got some great instructors, the dives were wonderful, but their
communication stinks. We'd go in one day and try on equipment, rent
computers, etc. and get everything just perfect...then invariably they would
show up at the pier to pick us up an hour later and wouldn't have brought the
right gear.
For all 3 days of our dive they forgot the dive computers we rented. Plus,
one of us was supposed to do a certification dive with Alex. I
understand that Alex probably had made too many commitments and couldn't make
it. But, he didn't tell the divemaster, so our divemaster told us he was
very sick. Funny...he didn't look too sick when we passed him on another
dive boat that afternoon with full wetsuit on, etc.
I just felt like they were a bit disorganized. Friendly, great
divemasters, but no organizational skills.
I dove with them for 5 days earlier this month and was very happy. The
dive boat picked me up at Iberostar each morning on time. The dives were
great, the Divemasters were very good about pointing out sealife. The
group in the boat picked the dive sites. We were allowed to dive our own
tanks and wentup in pairs as we got low on air. I had one dive that
lasted 90 min. on a standard 80cfm tank. I will dive with them when I
return to Cozumel.
Hi
Just got back from Cozumel, everything was great. I had the best dives of my
life. More bottom time than ever. And the true personal touch of top notch
dive shop. If your looking for a dive operation to dive with in Cozumel, let
me save you the legwork (or maybe I should say key strokes).Alex & Alex
are by far the best operator I've dove with. My dive buddy and I are both dive
masters and have been diving in Cozumel for more than 10 years. An in doing so
we've dove with many other dive operators in Cozumel and around the world. So
when I tell you that Alex & Alex are the best they are. This dive
operation is owned and operated by two dive instructors who still teach on a
daily bases, this hands on approach insures that you will be taken care of
like part of the family. Maybe that is why they are so in tuned to what dives
are looking for. Unlike most other dive operators, who just want you money. An
sit behind a desk and think of ways to get more from you.
Alex & Alex have small fast boats, small groups ( no more than 8 diver per
boat)some of the most experienced dive masters ,who know how to make each trip
one you will always remember. You'll see more life, spend more time under
water, visit more different dive sites and walk away with some story's to tell
your friends back home about.
Maybe I'll see you down there, I'm going back in a month or two. Can't wait.

P.S. If you dive with a Dive master named Jorge ask him to see any type of sea
life in Cozumel and he'll take you to where it’s. (Seahorses, Sharks, Giant
Green Morays, 40lb lobsters, turtles, Octopus, Spotted eagle rays, juvenile
drum, Grouper that are 6'long) just to name a few.
We just got back from a trip
with Alex & Alex/Blue Angel and had a great time. There were 4 in
our group and we did 10 dives over 5 days - we all needed BC's and reg's - the
price we were quoted was very good and included the equipment - one of us also
needed fins and, unfortunately, I needed a mask after I lost mine - no extra
charge. On 2 days, our group of 4 were the only ones - on 1 day there
were 2 more - on the other 2 days there were a few more but not a problem once
in the water. The boats always had shade and were always fast - just a
little crowded on the day with the most divers. I'd definitely use them
again!!!!
I highly recommend Alex & Alex (www.alexalexwaterworld.com); they pick
up at Iberostar, have small fast boats, tiny dive groups and wonderful,
passionate divemasters all. Outstanding!
We dove with Alex & Alex May 19 - 26 and I wish I could take their team
everywhere I ever dive again!
LESSONS
Susan & I went for our Open Water Certification. Cost was quoted at
$300/person (bring american cash to pay as the exchange rate on credit cards
brings up the fee). First off, the email communication was amazing! Alessandra
(the female Alex) provided thorough information and responded very quickly.
We read a majority of the book at home prior to our trip. When we
arrived, we had private lessons built around our schedule. The instructor (male
Alex) was so incredibly thorough. He pushed our skills without pushing
past our limit. He made sure we knew the seriousness of diving while at
the same time, allowing us to completely enjoy the experience. Most
important, he ensured we were properly trained before he let us "go
out". Thanks Alex :)
DIVING
After training, we did a night dive and a two-tank morning dive with Alex &
Alex. The boat picked us up & dropped us off at our dock both times
and was right on time. The dives included a combination of diver experience
levels, but never more than six people plus the divemaster. That made for
excellent diving, especially during the night dive. They are EXTREMELY
conciencious about safety - which was very comforting.
George, our divemaster, well, if you're female, he will make you want to dive in
Cozumel for a living! Outside of being very good scenery (haha), he was
very conciencious about the skill levels of the divers. He hung out with
those who were newer, and let the experienced team do their own thing, while
always keeping everyone in sight. I brought an underwater camera and he
was so great about pointing out where all the "cool" sea creatures
hide out - the eels, nurse-sharks, lobsters, etc. It was just an amazing
experience!
PRICE
From what we've heard, this is one of the lower priced dive shops. Check
with them before you count on this quote, because we may have received a
discount since we took our lessons with them. Again, it's always best to
pay in the American Dollar.
Open Water Course: $300/person - everything except book & dive log
included
Night Dive: $35/person
2-Tank Morning Dive: $50/person
Keep in mind, this includes ALL equipment - not just some of it - and it's
already loaded on the boat ready to go.
I can't say enough about the experience with Alex & Alex - We're already
looking to return in December to dive with them again!
Feel free to contact me individually if you have any questions - I also posted
information about our stay at Allegro (not quite as good of an experience as
Alex & Alex)
Just
returned from a great week of diving with Alex & Alex (http://www.alexalexwaterworld.com).
My girlfriend and I are both novice divers, and the divemasters took great care
of us. Small groups, fast boats, and good gear in the rental shop.
Their boat picked us up every morning at our pier, with gear assembled and ready
for us. Dove with three different divemasters, all of whom where
excellent. We'll definitely be diving with them again next trip!
