Comments: We just got back from a wonderful dive with these guys. How much can I praise them. They are so unbelievable. Their whole crew are awesome. Being a new diver and just recently getting certified, we (my boyfriend and I) were just a little nervous. But with 3 divemasters watching you (Ricardo (the owner),Ceilo (his son) and Tony..., how can anything go wrong. Ricardo is a true diver,,he hardly takes a breath. Tony stayed with me and watched over me the whole time. I felt so safe and truly enjoyed my dive. For our surface interval, we were served a good lunch (fruits and sandwiches) along with cold drinks. ..their guacamole is soooo delicious.

I would definitely recommend this operation . With how great their service is and concern for your safety and enjoyment....I would ONLY dive with them!!!!!!!!!!

Comments: These guys are unblieveable when it comes to customer service and SAFETY. They let you dive your dive but yet they watch over you. Tere are always two of them with you (point man and rear guard). They are there for you to have a safe and enjoyable diving experience. They also serve an outstand lunch on board their boat while we doing our SI. They have a great boat which is not like the other cattle boats that bounce you around. I am there for a vacation not a bull riding contest. We enjoyed our ride and the entire crew. It is amazing how the captain kept track of us no matter where we were at. When we came up, after a 70 minute dive there was the boat 50' away, truly amazing. This happens ever time. We have used them for years and we will never change.

Comments: This shop is a well-kept secret but with things slowing down on the tourism front, I feel the need to plug my shop of choice. This operation does not have a dive shop--it is a privately owned boat owned by Ricardo. They have been in business since 1982 and mostly get their business from returning customers and word of mouth. Ricardo, the owner, leads the dives and his divemasters, Susan, Tony and now Ricardo's son, Ceilo, take excellent care of everyone. They are very unintrusive--they let everyone do their own thing--but they keep an eye on everyone and will stay down with you as long as you have air. My average dives with them have been 70 minutes on AIR and all their dives are multi-level computer dives. They know where the underwater "regulars" are and if you say you want to see something, they'll do everything they can to make that happen. You have to see Ricardo dive to believe it, but the man spends the entire dive upside down and it's rare that you can catc!
h him taking a breath. Truly unbelievable but what do you expect from someone who runs to and from work every day and does a 5 mile swim during the surface interval! And yes you do get a full lunch, including fresh fruit, during the surface interval on the beach. At any rate, I highly recommend this operation if you're looking to dive where no one else is (we have never run into any other dive groups on dives with Careyitos) and want to truly experience being "at one" with the underwater creatures. Comments: We have used them several times and have been extremely impressed by their entire crew. The owner Ricardo is the leader on the dives and then they have a rear guard to take care of any problems that come up so it won't ruin the dive for everyone else. After the 1st dive they take you to a place to sun bathe on the boat or on shore, plus they feed you on the boat during the SI.
