Carlo Scuba

On a recent trip to Cozumel Sept 20-27 we stayed at the Playa Azul Hotel and dove with two dive operations both Scuba Du and Carlo Scuba were very good, safe and service oriented. Both provided on time pick up at the Playa Azul pier which was important to us. However Carlo Scuba offerred a clear advantage in terms of boat speed, computer diving/downtime and individual attention. On my next trip to Cozumel I will surely dive with one operation and that being Carlo Scuba located at the Playa Azul.

He is up by Barracuda (approx. 5 minutes from the Playa Azul dock). The current can be very strong, but he is cautious and very familiar with Barracuda and San Juan, as they are in his back yard. We dove with him in September and had to abort one dive, but the other was spectacular. We have wonderful pics! I need to figure out how to share them with everyone.

Carlo Scuba is located on the property at Playa Azul Hotel. Thierry is the owner and dive master. He is very cautious but allows you to explore and take your time. I would highly recommend him. My husband was a first time diver and I have been diving about 10 years and we were both pleased with his services. He has a nice fast boat and there are NEVER more than 6 divers. He is in the process of opening the dive shop so right now he is just using a snorkel renting area to store the gear and he fills a crate with fresh water for rinsing but soon he will have
a rinse tank and gear storage area. He also lives on the property and is very accessible if needed
