Comments: Visited Cozumel while on vacation on a cruise ship. After
narrowing the choices of dive operations from the internet, I contacted
several with our itenerary and needs for the dive.

I'm a bit of a stickler for safety when it comes to diving and I let that
be known in my email request. I only received two responses to my requests
and Eduardo was the first and most detailed response. He, in detail,
answered all of our questions as well as provided other 'good to know'
advise.

Eduardo proved himself to be an excellent Dive Master as well as having a
very nice dive boat and equipment. This is NOT your normal 'Cattle Boat'
operation. Eduardo takes diving to the personal level and that's not
something you find often in the world of dive operators. He ensures you will
have a safe as well as uncrowded and infomative dive. It is evident that he
loves his sport and eagerly shares his expertise.

If your only goal is to 'get wet' and hurry up and dive where everyone
else is diving, don't use Eduardo. But, if your goal is to truely enjoy your
dives in Cozumel, to dive spots where you won't be bumping into other divers
on the bottom, to really learn something new about our sport and to make a
good friend in Cozumel, drop Eduardo a line and set up your dive with
him.Truely a first class operation and highly recommended!

Comments: We found cozumelsports.com on the internet.  We were on the Carnival Elation cruise ship, and Cozumel was one of our stops.

With the help of Eduardo Echeverria at Cozumel Sports, we were able to reserve our para-sailing adventure in advance, and a group of us went  para-sailing when our ship docked.  They even allowed my less-adventurous husband to come along to video tape our adventure.

This company was very professional and prompt, and really took the fear-factor away, and left us with just a wonderful experience and lots of great photos, video, and memories.

I highly recommend using this company to anyone looking for scuba, para-sailing or snorkeling in Cozumel.  We are already booked with them for our cruise next year.  :-)

Comments: Eduardo was both a great dive master and enjoyable host. Always had good dives and good bottom time. He was there when you wanted him, but did have the herd master mentality of dictating that you must do exactly what he wanted. Experienced divers (at least) will be very happy.
Fun, uncrowded, and highly recommended.

Comments: Eduardo Echeverria and Cozumel Sports made our trip memorable.  He taught our 10 year old son to dive with the Intro to Scuba course and then took him and my husband on a two tank boat dive the following day.  My older son and I tagged along to snorkel.  Everything was pefect.  We were completely confident of Eduardo with our young son. I got the thrill of watching my son dive while snorkeling above him.  Tony, the boat driver, was very watchful of us snorkeling on a reef populated with boats and divers.  We look forward to diving with them again. Hopefully very soon.

Comments: What a great time we had! We had 2 families and all with w/ a total of 4 kids. This was the kids first time experiencing snorkeling and mine. Eduardo was the best and this had to be the craziest group he ever took out, yet he was extremely patient, nice, kind, and considerate! That's alot to maintain in such an unfamiliar environment. For him being unfamiliar w/ us and for us being unfamiliar w/ the water.

I will definitely recommend to others and would love to experience it again, only if we can get Eduardo and Tony again!

Comments: I did my Open Water with Eduardo from Cozumel Sports. He was excellent.
 While he put me through my excercises, my 15 yr. old son, whom is certified, but only a couple of dives was with us. Eduardo  helped him improve his bouyancy by 100%.
After I passed my Padi, we did a couple of boat dives with him, which were fantastic.
My son felt very comfortable, safe and much more confident. He felt Eduardo felt we were more than just customers. I have yo practice a few things. Eduardo has given me the confidence  to know I can and will improve. I have recommended him to some others in the hotel.
When in Coz use him and you will be happy.  I will dive with him next year. I wish that I was as good as student as he is teacher

Comments: Eduardo and Gabriel at Cozumel Sports are terrific to work with.  When planning to arrive in Cozumel off a cruise, Cozumel Sports was terrific at working with our itenerary to accommodate our diving desires. 

As dive master, Eduardo was very familiar with the dive sites and was great at pointing out interesting critters for us.  We couldn't have been happier.

Comments: What a wonderful experience!!  We have dived in Cozumel for years and this was our first time with Cozumel Sports as we had to find a new dive shop due to our old dive provider going a bit crazy on us.

Cozumel Sports, with Eduardo as our dive master, provide us with a most memorable, enjoyable and safe dive esperience.  They even had a camera that we could rent so that we could take our own pictures of what we wanted and not what some photographer wanted.  The combinations made for a wonderful memorable trip.

They were very knowledgable as to sites which increased our experience over previouis Cozumel Dive Experinces.

Comments: My wife and I came to Cozumel in January to complete the "open water" portion of here PADI certification.,as the conditions in southern California are prohibitive to all but the hardiest of enthuisiasts..we found Cozumel Sports (www.cosumelsports.com) and their instructor  Eduardo Echeverria on the internet , and his e-mail , among a dozen or so that we solicited from dive-masters , put my wife at ease and so we selected him.The beach we used was easily accessible and the "scenery" was teriffic and inspiring for a new diver, first time in the ocean. His teaching style is courteous , professional, and no - nonsense.He did not just "hand my wife her card", he made sure that she was genuinly ready to be in the water and that she could proceed with an educated conficdence in our "new frontier" After completion of the four certification dives, we went on a boat / drift dive with Eduardo , on his boat" The Michelle" ,and for a nominal fee, he will bring his underwater vide
 o camera. "he is an equally talented tour guide and underwater videographer" We have the great video to relive the experience, share with our friends, and stir our hearts and imaginations for our next trip. Mr. Echeverria is completely bi-lingual which is very comforting, in that,  if you have important technical questions about the very serious sport of diving , you will have your answer, "this kept my wife at ease the entire time" His prices are reasonable, he is easily reachable by e-mail, which he responds to quickly, or by cell phone , and I heartily recommend him as your teacher . Comments: We had a wonderful dive with Eduardo at Cozumel Sports!  Thanks to his personal service he made a nervous diver feel at home under water for the first time!  Diving with a small group is the way to go.  We will never dive with a large number of people again.  We will recommend Cozumel Sports to everyone! 

Comments: We just came back from a weeklong dive with Eduardo in November 2002. He certified our 2 children, ages 10 and 12. He was very patient as my 10 year old took longer than expected and he was so cautious he would not certify her until she was truly ready. We did 10 dives (a total of 6 days) with Eduardo and they were awesome. He gave us her undivided attention also. We would highly recommend Cozumel Sports to anyone and feel free to contact us about any questions you may have. If we ever went back to Cozumel, we would hook up with Eduardo again. Keep up the good, safe work!!!!

Comments: My wife and I took our three boys to Cozumel during the first week of August 2002. This was the first time for any of us to visit the island. One of the things that we most wanted to do was to try scuba diving for the first time. We searched the web for a dive master who would dive all five of us together as a private group. We had several responses, but one stood out as genuinely interested in us and our enjoyment and safety. He is Eduardo Echeverria with Cozumel Sports. We booked our trip with Eduardo, and he contacted us several times before leaving for the island to make sure that we had everything we would want when we arrived. He came to our hotel the night before our dive to meet with us and fill out our paperwork, and check our gear, so that we would not waiste any time on our big DIVE DAY. We found our instruction to be easy to understand and helpful once we were in the water. Eduardo put us at ease and watched us all very closely while we dove. The experie
 nce was priceless, and now we are all going to become certified and will return to the island to do our open water dives with Eduardo. After our dive, we told Eduardo that we wanted to do a horseback ride and also parasailing, and he helped us set these tours up and at better prices than what was offered from the tour desks at the hotel. We stayed at the El Cozumeleno, and really enjoyed ourselves. But Eduardo helped to make all the great things we wanted out of our vacation happen. Thanks Eduardo, adios amigo (for now).

A buddy of mine and I took a quick trip to Cozumel for some diving. This was my first time diving in over a year, and it was my friend's first time ever. I found out about Eduardo over the Internet, so I didn't know what to expect. I will say this... Eduardo is the MAN!!! He was very cordial, thorough, and easy to work with. I felt as if I were diving with a good friend. We were both amazed and relaxed the entire time.

Eduardo, I WILL recommend you to anyone I know planning a dive trip to Cozume, and I'm looking forward to working with you in the future!

Comments: We first met Eduardo on Norm's first open water dive in 2001. The greatest treasure we found in Cozumel yet. We were highly impressed with his professionalism, promptness and service. A year and two trips later we still would not use any other service for our diving. To say that he went above and beyond to assure our diving experience was enjoyable and pleasant is an understatement. All requests from dive sites, to bottom time, to what we would like to drink on the boat were met without hesitation. We would highly recommend Eduardo for all your diving needs to all levels of experienced or nonexperienced divers as he is very conscientious of your diving safety. During our recent visit to Cozumel, Eduardo took us to places that Norm has never dove, such as "the wall", the ship wreck, and a night dive with all our complete trust in him. Also, on our last day there, Eduardo brought his mother, brother and sister inlaw to meet us. It was a very enjoyable and lasting memory that we will always remember. We not only found the best divemaster on Cozumel, But we found a great friend. Eduardo, Thank you!

Comments: To the avid and casual diver:
My best friend and dive buddy came to Cozumel for the first time this year to do nothing but dive. Prior to arriving we did extensive and thorough research via the internet on who may be best operator to dive with. We emailed a variety of operators requesting information (prices of course) and  everything else - from bottom time to size of boat to flexibility of the operator to take us to our choice of dive sites. We were looking for service and professionalism, responsiveness and most importantly, we didn’t want to be stuck with a larger operator who took divers out to sea, like cattle out to pasture. We decided to go with a master diver named Eduardo who responded to every single email promptly and answered all our questions. We hoped that we made the right choice when we got there and decided that if we weren’t happy, we could easily change to another operator.
Thus, 17 dives later (in six days), we were submerged for over 16 hours and Eduardo was our man for the entire euphoric trip. We dove sites that we wanted to dive. Eduardo made sure we saw the best of the best from Paso Del Cedral reef to Punta Tunich, Palanca Horshoe and hell, so much more. We also took our advanced course with Eduardo including two night dives. We simply cannot say enough good things about Eduardo. Eduardo is Mexican but his english is near perfect. He is a gentleman, a pro in the water and in the boat. His is fun, energetic and always, always willing to go beyond expectations to make sure you get the best out of your dives. His team is equally supportive too. Above all, Eduardo is responsible for your well-being. He doesn’t take unnecessary risks and makes sure everyone is taken care of. At the end of it all, we have become friends with Eduardo (I hope he thinks so to!) If anyone is listening, you won’t find a better man than Eduardo to dive with.
And Eduardo, if you ever make it up to Toronto, bring your gear. We’ll supply the wetsuit (or drysuit). How does water at 10C sound? Grin.......

Comments: I originally met Eduardo in 1998 while he was working for another dive shop.  During that week I found Eduardo to be the friendliest, most professional and enthusiastic dive master/instructor I have ever met. When I planned my most recent trip to Cozumel (June 2002) I decided that I was going to dive with whatever dive shop Eduardo was working for.  I located Eduardo at Cozumel Sports and was glad to see that he was now working for himself.  I am also happy to say that I had an even better time diving with Eduardo than I did the first time.  Eduardo's knowledge of Cozumel's reefs and years of experience as an instructor and dive master was evident on every dive.  The longer bottom times that Eduardo provides at Cozumel Sports allows you to see so much more during each dive than you would normally see (you definately get your money's worth).  My girlfriend took a resort course/introduction to scuba class from Eduardo and did one shore dive and one boat dive during the week.  Eduardo's friendly and very professional approach put my (very nervous) girlfriend at ease and made her first open water diving experience so satisfying that she has decided to get certified. I would highly recommend Eduardo and Cozumel Sports to new divers or very experienced divers.  Eduardo will see to it that you have a great diving experience.

Comments: My boyfriend is an avid scuba diver and had been encouraging me to try it for a long time. When we planned our trip to Cozumel (June 2002), he was very excited because he was going to be able to dive with his favorite dive master/instructor, Eduardo. He talked about how friendly and professional Eduardo was, so I said I would give scuba diving a try. Eduardo was more than I could have ever hoped for. He was able to make me feel calm and safe while giving me the best experience of my life. I was so nervous before taking my resort course and first dive, but Eduardo put me at ease. I was able to go on a shallow dive a couple of days later and felt ready to go, because I knew Eduardo wouldn't let anything happen to me. I was very comfortable with his mastery of the English language, professionalism and knowlegde. The best parts about being with Eduardo were receiving the experience of a lifetime through his personal care, a new hobby, and a new friend in Cozumel. I wouldn't dive with anyone else.

Comments: Diving with Eduardo was a wonderful experience!!  If you are wondering who to contact to dive with, contact Eduardo!  He is really wonderful! We signed up for our Nitrox check-out dives through Sea Urchin (very good operation!) and were very happy when we met Eduardo.  We were fortunate that he was on the dive boat for more than just that one day with us!  He reviewed our day's dive plans with us, making sure that had learned what we needed to in our course in California to be prepared for the check out dives...and then just made sure we had fun!  He is very easy to be with, is genuinely interested in his divers and makes sure you are comfortable.  He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, has a very positive attitude, wonderful enthusiasm for diving, and never ending patience!  He is extremely safety conscious; in fact, the husband of the other couple on our boat had not done a night dive before and the weather was pretty rainy and windy, so he suggested a shore dive so that they would experience it, but probably more comfortably.  We were very impressed.  Although we have been diving for many years, 3 weeks a year is not much and so we appreciate the extra attention to details and suggestions he made which we don't always remember.  We felt very taken care of.  It was a wonderful experience.  If we ever return to Cozumel, he  will be the first person we contact! Now we're trying to figure out how to get him to come on all our dive trips with us...!  Any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!

Comments: Cozumel has many dive operations but few can match  Eduardo Echevarria of Cozumel Sports. I had interviewed several great dive shops. Eduardo answers all of my questions and during our trip he followed through with all of my requests. So really he paid attention to what I wanted.
Eduardo is also a very good teacher and my dive buddy and myself took the Open Water Advanced with his guidance. We dove 16 dives for about 17 hours in six days. So needless to say we had more than our share of bottom time. As a service oriented operator he ensures that his clientele get all of the attention they require to meet their dive objectives and have a great vacation.
When I come back I will be looking for Eduardo.

Comments: We worked with Eduardo at Cozumel Sports. He was awesome! And a true professional. No short cuts here! We were more than impressed with him as a professional Dive Master, his thoroughness and as a likeable person. We would highly recommend him for anyone trying to obtain their SCUBA Certification, refresher class or just a day of diving.
