Comments: I am a little hesitant in writing this, because I don't want folks overunning the place. I will never stay anywhere else on vacation in Cozumel than Condumel. I have stayed at other places on the island but nothing matches Condumel. The snorkeling is great, the swimming is great and it is only a short walk to town. The staff there are unsurpassed in making you feel at home on the island.

Comments: What a wonderful experience, even though we stepped on sea urchins within the first hour of landing, and suffered for several days.  The tropical storm that blew for a day & a half, complete with wind, thunder, lightning and 5" of rain only served to make it more interesting.  Condumel was the perfect place for us - quiet, secluded, but near enough to town to be convenient.  No clocks, no TV, no radio, no phone.  You actually talk with one another, and watch the water for hours from the huge windows, even from your bed!   Snorkeling right off the property was as good as anywhere we went.  Sara was very helpful in suggesting things to do and place to eat, and her staff was excellent.  We recommend renting a car for at least a day or 2 just to see the other side of the island.  We found that by staying off the main streets and venturning back into the more residential areas we found the best food and the nicest people.  We will definately return to Cozumel, and to Condumel.

Hi Jidan. I just wanted to tell you how much we loved the Condumel. It was the perfect place for us and I would definitely recommend it to others. If we ever return to Cozumel we will certainly go back the the Condumel. It was luxurious for the money, the service was excellent, the location was just right for us, nice and quiet but not too far from things we wanted to do and the snorkeling right off of the property was as good as anywhere on the island. I wanted to thank you for recommending we stay there (originally I thought we may like to stay at another property but you suggested the Condumel instead). Cathy M.

Comments: My wife and I just got back home from our stay at Condumel. We were there a week for our honeymoon. We chose this place off the internet pics and reviews. Did we pick the right place!! The weather was very warm, the water was the perfect temp, great breeze blowing through our condo. We did follow the review advice about getting the condo on the bottom/end. The walk into town takes very little time. Lot's to see. Our favorite saying from the vendors there was "almost free". We talked with other tourists while there, and comparing notes, we picked the right place! Sara and her staff are more helpful than you can believe! Thank you Sara!! We're planning already to go back in 1-2 yrs and take freinds along with us. Muy Bonita!!!!

Comments: In a word - WOW!  Condumel was much much more than we expected.  We stayed for one week - heaven!  Unit 4 is probably the best unit - at the end with a bit more privacy.  Big windows open to a beautiful view of the water.  The snorkeling off of the back Condumel was excellent - we spend hours in the water right there - good night snorkeling too!  We saw octopi, squid, eels, puffer fish and more sea urchins than I ever have seen before.  Sara was amazing - like a personal concierge.  She gave us so many excellent recommendations for eating, touring, shopping and having fun - everything she recommended was right on.  Be sure to rent a car (at least some of your time) so you can see the other side of the island.  Don't miss Zermatt bakery either.  Condumel is associated with Aqua Safari - a very well run dive operation - also recommended.  Like other reviewers, we hesitated to write because we don't want to share our secret!!

Comments: My husband and I were here for 1 week. You feel like you are in Mexico in this Mayen looking building. The rooms are spacious and bright with beautiful views and sunsets. There is no radio or TV so if you like quiet this is the place. Rooms were impecable. Walking distance from town. We did rent a car for 4 days, you will need this if you want to visit the island. Best place we found to eat was La Mission, cheap, excellent food and great pina-colada's, excellent service. It's between Calle 2 & 4, Ave 30, also Chen-Rio on the souther tip of the island was great. The best grocery store is on the south of downtown on the main road. Music and dancing in the Plaza on sunday evenings. Sara was waiting for us when we arrived and was very helpful in helping us find what we need. We definatly recommend this beautiful place, you won't regret it unless you want to be with the action.

...short stay (as in a couple of hours!!! *s*) I absolutely LOVED that place.

Unit #4 is on the end and downstairs and I told myself when I go back I would definately check into this place for availablity !!!  

Snorkeling was GREAT in front and it was VERY VERY nice with the most breathtaking view right from your bed !!!!!

goddess! do I love travel!  

We stayed at Condumel and will never stay anywhere else.  After many trips to various hotels on the island, this is perfect for us.  Three rooms plus the bathroom gave us space to not be on top of each other ('til we were ready!)  Ask for a room on the end and on the ground floor (extra window and can walk right out of your condo onto the beach).  Upstairs rooms have to go out the front and go around back with all their stuff.  I watched the moon on the water from the bed!   .60 (US) beers stocked in your fridge everyday, along with water, juices, snacks and liquors.  (eggs .30)  Nice beach with palapas and 12 foot deep entrance with ladder and diving board.  Great snorkeling!  Can walk the mile to town for dinner or whatever so not dependent on rental or taxis, internet available in the office, maids wash your dishes, etc. every day.  full tub and shower, large bathroom, plenty hot water, I should shut up 'cause I want it to be available every  time I go!  Sarah is there 6 days a week and I felt I had a personal secretary.  We were really happy there, as you can see.

Comments: I have visited Cozumel more than twenty times in the past twenty five years and this trip was the best by far!  Condumel and Sarah are fabulous!  The Condo's are gorgeous.  The other vacationers are friendly and happy to make new friends.  Sarah is the best part.  Any question you have, she will help!  The best restaurant, the cheapese lunch, etc.  We enjoyed it so much we are going back in December!

Comments: Condumel is in the perfect location to stay in Cozumel. It is a lovely walk, in the evening, from a great meal in town. The snorkelling is "bar none" just outside the door! The condo is perfect... simple, uncluttered, tasteful and the outside architecture is classic. The staff is amazing... helpful in everything from advice on where to buy fresh fish to providing beach toys (on loan!) and a selection of paperbacks! AND... the sunsets are virtually breathtaking. We had the best vacation ever.

We have returned from our stay at Condumel and wanted to thank you and let you know what a great time we had!  The place was wonderful, especially Sarah and the staff.  They made us feel right at home, extremely helpful when we needed it - otherwise left us to ourselves.  Sarah gave us a great overview upon our arrival.  We can honestly say that she gave us the best welcome we've had in our travels over the years.  For folks who can stand to be away from the TV and a phone, we highly recommend Condumel.  It was exactly what we needed.

Hi Sara:

I had wanted to email you sooner, but things have been kind of crazy since we arrived back in California.  Both of our kids started back to school last week!

We had a great time on Cozumel!  Condumel was a great place to stay!  It worked out great for our family.  I will certainly recommend Condumel to anyone I know visiting Cozumel.

Please tell Mr. Horn that we really enjoyed our diving with Aqua Safari. Most of all I think we appreciated the helpful people working the boat we were on.  Everyone was very helpful.

We just returned from spending 2 weeks at Condumel and loved the place. It's well run, well kept and has a great relaxed feel to it. The snorkeling right there is terrific, saw trumpet fish, huge hermit crabs, octopus and tons of the usual tropical fish.

Condumel is anything but run down. The rooms are very clean, lots of marble. The kitchen is fully stocked and the service is excellent! There is no swimming pool but the ocean awaits, with very good snorkelling right there. No beach, either, but easy entry and exit by ladders from the coral shore. My sister and her friends stay there when they visit and I've spoken to many other guests who have stayed in hotels and prefer Condumel once they find it. It's easy to miss from the roadside as it has alot of vegetation, (perhaps why Shell thought it was "rundown") which adds to the charm.

If you mean their hotel, (they also have a dive shop) I have looked at the rooms there. I found them to be quite large and very clean.

Dearest Sara, we arrived in Chicago this morning at about 3:45 am.  We miss Cozumel already, it was only 22 degrees F when we got there, very cold!  We live about four hours drive from there so are very very tired.  I wanted to thank you again for another wonderful stay in Cozumel, and especially for the extra hours you allowed us, it gave us the chance to have another excellent dinner in town and a beautiful walk home with time to relax and clean up
