this place warrants adequate and fair warning!

I went by there today to check them out for Robin.  Their website is grossly misrepresentative.  They now only have 2 units, I guess the other one is storage or tunred into the office.

They claim to be "new" with "beautiful mahogany cabinetry" which are boldfaced lies.  They were built in 1994 and the cabinetry is the 70's style dark paneling.  The walls were in ill repair in desperate need of painting.  When I walked in my first impression was that it was dirty, musty smelling and the furnishings weren't fit for a dog in my opinion.  The sofa was clearly aged and had so many stains that I would be afraid to sit on it.  The kitchen table looked like something from my parents house in the 70's, with dark laminate wood top, chrome legs and vinyl and chrome chairs with a dark brown and orange 70's pattern.  I saw air conditioners, but I'm not sure they work.  One of them was obviously missing parts and the other looked to be about 9 or 10 years old.  It is obvious that little or no maintenance has been done since they were actually new in 1994.  They advertise $40 per night ($600 for the month), but I wouldn't pay $5 per night!

Sorry, but this place is not a deal!

I checked them out about 2 years ago, and they are the PITS>>>

was shown three units, and they were singularly unattractive.  They were dingy looking, had a major need of painting and other sprucing up, and had furniture worse than I have discarded at the curb.  I have stayed in some very simple places in Cozumel, including Hermanos Aguilar, Hotel Elizabeth (now "Posada something or other"), and Hotel Flamingo long before its renovations when it was (I think) $14 a night, and all of them were absolutely palatial by comparison to Plaza Lizzette.

The place is basically a dump.
