Comments:    Conveniently located next to the town square, this charming place offers reasonably priced food & outdoor dining.  My husband enjoyed a traditional Mexican egg/tortilla breakfast with a generous fresh squeezed OJ, while I was pleased with the fruit/yogurt & granola. a yummy pineapple milkshake, and fresh, homemade biscuits that absolutely melt in your mouth!  An obviously well-run family business staffed by efficient, hardworking folks.  To be enjoyed.

Comments: only ate here once for breakfast but the experience was good.  the food was authentic (egg dish) and served quickly.  this appears to be a favorite for the locals as everyone seemed to know each other.  the price was reasonable, and the location is very convenient.

Comments: We go here for breakfast and thoroughly enjoy it everytime.  Huevos a la Mexicana is very good.  And it is great to watch the morning activity in the square.  They must have very good tacos because I see locals coming in to get there breakfast and lunch to take to work.  Will go back again and again.

The service was friendly, and they were understanding when my mother and I had to take turns getting up to chase after my son. But the food was just mediocre.

i'm not an expert...only had one week in coz, but the recs for casa denis????????  not good.  i went because of what i had read here. will never go back!  mescalitos is wonderful...ceviche and lobster to die for!  la mission on juarez! great mole chicken.  etc, etc, lots of good eating, but not casa denis.

Very good food at reasonable prices by the plaza.  It is still a private home and they now operate most of the restaurant out front under an awning.  My husband also had breakfast here a few mornings and enjoyed the huevos rancheros and other mexican specialties.

Cafe Denis: watch out for the salsa! Burn, baby, burn! Good quality, good prices, outdoor cafe in the SE corner of the plaza. Suggest eat there Sunday night before the festival.

When in Cozumel, try Casa Denis! The Cochinita Pibil is great. If you are making a trip to the "other side of the island", stop by Casa Denis and pick up the best ham and cheese sandwich anywhere! For a couple of dollars you get the sandwich, grilled ham, melted cheese, grilled onions, with mayonnaise/chipote dressing and french fries. Ask to be seated in the back garden!

The best two restaurants we visited, hands down, were La Veranda and Prima's.  However, for a good price and good food, Casa Denis is the place.  For dinner, try their fried fish with spinach sauce.  VERY GOOD!

The best waiters were definitely at La Veranda.  These guys are a lot of fun, and if they like you, they'll bring you a kalua and cream for dessert...on the house!  Best atmosphere by far with the outdoor setting.

Their breakfasts are good and cheap.  I enjoyed Casa Denis for breakfast FAR more than the Waffle House, which has my vote for the nastiest glass of orange juice in town.
