Comments: This made our 7th trip to Cozumel and we thought we had done most everything on the island. We found Cozumel Sailing through Travelnotes and booked online with Dan and Karen. They were VERY prompt with their email replies (which was only the beginning of their wonderful friendly service!) At the beginning of our week, we did their sunset cruise and it was so AWESOME that we booked the 6 hour day trip later in the week! The staff was excellent, and Juan by far makes the best fajitas on the island.( We consumed all the food and drinks anyone would want.) Add to the food and drinks the snorkeling, dinghy ride to the deserted beach and the spinnaker sailing made it all well worth the money on this excursion. This was the best time and money we ever spent in the land of Coz! Thanks Dan, Karen and Staff. See you next year!
Subject: Tucan Sailing Adventure Tours Comments: We had the PLEASURE of reserving the Tucan for a day in February
2004. I am writing this comment because this trip exceeded our expectations
in every way!!! The only thing that was not in our favor was the wind. The
wind was from the north and quite strong, but Captain Dan expertly guided us
throughout the day. We are cruisers that like to get away from the crowds
and to do things on our own without 100 other people! We sure found the best
with this day! ?Skippy? Karen was so much fun to talk with, and we wish her
and her family the best through your life?s adventure.
Comments: My wife and I sailed with Cozumel Sailing in January for a sunset
cruise on the Tucan, and we enjoyed it so much that we decided to do a day
sail. Posted on 08/22/03 Captain Dan, Hope all is well. P.S. Juan's Guacamole & Fajita's were awesome (probably the best food we
had all week). Posted on 02/05/03 I can't stop letting people know that the highlight of my trip to Cozumel was a sailing adventure with Cozumel Sailing on the trimaran Tucan. This is the best vacation experience and you can't miss with this trip. I was with a group of four and we decided to go out on the ocean for a day on a sailboat. We got so much more. Our trip lasted for nearly seven hours and every moment was filled with relaxation, excitement and adventure. The trimaran was captained by Dan, who was extremely knowledgeable and professional. We didn't feel like Dan was there to feed us a bunch of useless information and take us out for a little jaunt on the water. Dan was there to create a memorable experience and give us a day filled with the things we wanted to do while being out on a sailboat around Cozumel. First, Dan let us pick the music we wanted to surround us that day, and a Caribbean sailing adventure wouldn't be complete without some Jimmy Buffet, so Dan obliged by supplying the new Jimmy's new CD, which I will now have to go out and buy to help me slide into the mood I experienced that day while sailing. While sailing, Dan and his mate, Juan, provided us with a relaxing atmosphere and answered all of our questions. I felt like I received an education from Dan about the wind and water, and many more topics that day. Besides this, we took the little dinghy to shore so that we could check out the secluded shore around the north end of the island. We looked for shells, checked out the hermit crabs, and climbed coconut trees just because we could. By the time we made it back out to the sailboat, Juan had prepared a fresh meal for us. I have never had such wonderful guacamoli in all of my life, and I probably won't even try another until I return to Cozumel. The same goes for his fresh pico-de-gallo, potato salad and steak. This meal provided us with an experience in itself, along with the coco loco drink that Juan and Dan prepared from fresh coconuts and rum. A true Cozumel Sailing experience. You might think that this should be the end of our fun, but it isn't. We threw the anchor in near a corral head so that we could check out the fish and plants. Dan jumped in first to make sure the area was safe, and then he escorted us into the water to take in the beautiful colors surrounding the corral head. I was amazed at the beauty that sits at the bottom of the ocean and I will definitely snorkel again so that I can check out other corral heads. After snorkeling we decided to head back for the day, and we were in awe at the wonderful sunset we experienced while dodging corral heads. At this time we were nearly speechless as we took in the amazing view of the receding sun over the beautiful ocean around Cozumel. It was breathtaking and I want to recommend this experience to anyone who is looking for something to do while visiting Cozumel or the surrounding area. I can't imagine describing my vacation without this Cozumel Sailing experience - it should be the highlight of any vacation, so please tell everyone about this fantastic experience. Still relishing the experience, Luke Thurnau | To Do Reviews | All Adventure Tours |Submit a Review | "Say you saw it on TravelNotes.cc!"
