Title: Honeymoon in Coz

Comments: First timers to Coz on honeymoon for 7 days.  Great hotel, room, view, cleanliness, service, location, beach, staff.  No problems with flies or mosquito's.  Food was o.k. but not great.  The desserts were absolutely terrible, like someone had poured a glass of water down through the cakes and very little flavor.  The breakfast was pretty good especially the made to order omelet grill.  Estabon the waiter is a delight.

$4.50 cab ride to town.  Prices in town not as cheap as we had heard but some are willing to haggle.

Tried renting a car through our travel agent rep there at the hotel, they wanted $75.00 pd for a jeep that was falling apart and we couldn't possibly lock up, (wanted to be able to lock up our gear while shopping and exploring) so we went on our own to some company's that I had read about online before our trip.  Ended up renting from LESS PAY a VW bug in good condition WITH working locks for $45.00 pd including insurance.

Drove to the east side of the island 2 days in a row, The most beautiful beaches and water I've seen!  Did some swimming but mostly just enjoyed the quiet seclusion and the beauty of that unspoiled side of the island.  Had dinner at COCONUTS on top of the cliff, wonderful grilled shrimp and killer marguerita's!  The best meal we had on our trip.

We were never approached by time-share solicitors at our hotel but we were by some other hotels while in town, they have little "information stands" all over the plaza.  They swear that they are not soliciting time shares but it turns out to be the same type thing just called 'vacation points' or something like it.

We loved cozumel, didn't have near enough time there so will have to go back soon we hope.
