Trip Report Day One , May 27th

Fiesta Americana Dive Resort
Fiesta Americana Hotel Cozumel  Fiesta Americana Hotel Cozumel Fiesta Americana Hotel Cozumel

Sorry it took so long. Had to rest and had to deal with fmily/work problems, they are one in the same since I work for family.....anyway here goes.

Got to the airport early. Good thing because one of my connecting tickets were missing. No problem flew to Charlotte from raleigh and on to Cancun from there. Didn't know what to expect when we landed in cancun. Took a bus from plane to airport, we all had passports and that line was a whole lot shorter. Found the guy from olympus tours. Went to meet our van, which by the way was basically walking very fast following our luggage! Greeted by a nice man that asked if we would like a Sol...why of course we would LOL Man I love Mexico already. It was the four of us and two other couples in the van. Dropped them off in playa del carmen and then dropped us off somwhere to find our way to the ferry. Of course there was a boy there and he grabbed some of our luggage and we followed him here and there and ended up at the ferry. Now I have heard that the ferry could be rough, My son was looking a little green by the time we got to coz. Another beer helped with the ferry for us. Found our olympus guy in coz and he hailed us a cab and sent us on our way to the fiesta americana. What a ride that was, I thought the van ride in cancun was thrilling, but the taxi in Coz was much more fun! It almost felt like we were in a car chase in a really good movie. LOL Needed more than two beers for that. Got to the fiesta, Greeted by Ed, Thats what we called him. He was really great the whole week. I hated it when he was off work. Got to our room threw down our stuff and went in search of food. It was 4:00, we left home that morning at 6:00 and were starved. We thought the food at the hotel was very good. Went snorkleing after that out in front and it was wonderful. Saw lots of fish. It really is a good place to snorkle. We finally drug our exhausted bodies in to get ready to go to chedrau for some sol, I mean supplies LOL We walked around the places by there and the one on the corner rents cars and must have been a hawker. We liked to have never got away. well we did and went shopping and then called it a night. I would have to say it was an adventure for us. We had never really done anything like this before. And of course we have already saw a few ugly americans. I would also add that next time I will spend the extra money and fly straight to Coz. Thats all for now, I hope I didn't bore you to death. I am sure I am missing a few things and will check my notes. If anyone has any questions please ask away.

Michelle

P.S.
As you can tell spelling and puncuation was not my best subject in school. LOL

Trip report day 2.......

There is nothing better than sitting alone on the balcony in a beautiful place watching the start of a new day.....Saw a million boats go by this morning. The race was on for the diving boats and snorkle tours. After all that calmed down we decided to go snorkle a little more and saw mostly the sameas the previous day. We saw Patrick Star (A big starfish) lol I watch way to much spongebob on nick! I think we like the cartoon more than the kids. Anyway we had a rental car so we decided to grab our things and head out for more sol, and supplies. We ended up later that day at Playa Corona. We got there around 5:00 or so and they were about ready to close. They said we could stay and we had a blast. It is really pretty there. I love the big fans and we saw a snake way out where it starts dropping off, My hubby motioned me over there and I looked down at the snake on the bottom  gave william the thumbs up sign and got the hell out of there! lol I hate snakes of any kind. We stayed there for a long time. It was nice to have the whole place to ourselves, well the water anyway. It looked as if they had some kind of meeting or something going on there after they closed. That is really one of my favorite places. We went back to the hotel rested, watched and taped the sunset and went into town. I think one of the best things on the trip was the balcony and sunsets. Pretty much just walked around and stopped by the calling station. The whole time we walked I would say hey, there is such and such place I have heard that is a really great place. I thought I was going to drive william crazy with that. It doesnt sound like we done much but I felt like we had been going non stop! I am leaving things out and will add them as I remember them. We loved the Hotel. Everyone there was nice it was constanly being cleaned or painted. There was one thing that I always joked about, the little sand things for ashtrays were always clean and had the hotel named stamped in the sand. If I used one and came back by it in five miniutes, it was clean. I swear that guy must have been invisible and followed me around the whole week! LOL That is silly sounding, but you just had to be there. Well my brain is pretty much done in for today. Stay tuned for day three and the resort course dive with Papa Hogs.....
