DISCOVER SCUBA (Introduction to Scuba, Resort Course)
The Discover Scuba is a 4 hour course that allows the student to experience
diving in a controlled environment. The course starts at 12:30 PM at the Aqua
Safari dive shop. We explain the do's and don'ts from our classroom, followed
by shallow water work from the beach to learn the very basic water skills. If
the student is comfortable, they join a boat trip to Paradise reef, maximum
40 ft. deep, to dive with the instructor. It is a good value with the boat dive.
This course is ideal for those individuals who are not sure they want to take
the complete certification course. If after taking this course they decide to
continue with a full certification, we will apply the cost of the introductory
course toward the full certification course.
PLEASE NOTE: The Discover Scuba Course does not enable the diver to join the
normal boat trips offered at Aqua Safari. Until certified as a Open Water Diver,
you are limited to diving to 40 ft. under the supervision of a certified scuba
instructor.
Includes: classroom training, all scuba diving equipment and instruction of
use from a thatch roof classroom, shallow water work from the beach to learn
the very basic water skills, if student is comfortable, a one tank boat trip
to Paradise reef, maximum of 40ft deep with a scuba instructor.
