We ran into Javier while having a few beers at the beach. Javier sells stuffed churros. He makes them then rides his bike around and sells them for $10 pesos each. Today he had vanilla, chocolate, and carmel. Look for him when you are down here. They are probably the best churros on the island.

ahhh..I second that! Best churros. He came by several times in the am at the Palapita. I bought a whole bunch for our departing dive boat people. They were still warm and soooo delicious Smile Yum.

Javier is a great guy - we had a house rented a couple of blocks behind Chedraui and he stopped by early every morning. Super churros and he's a very interesting person to talk with. It's funny how everybody knows him. Thanks for the pic, Steve.

He rides his bike and seems to be all over. We always get up early and he'd be tapping at the gate of our house every morning. We bought churros from him every day for the two weeks we were there whether we needed them or not Laughing It was such fun to have coffee and talk with him. He has a very interesting life story.

his melt in your mouth like hot donuts do when the HOT sign is on here! You have to eat atleast 2 because I gulp the first one down so fast I have to eat another just to savor each morsel. Smile YUM! We usually run into him at La Hach pier area before/after dives....

Churros are best when they are HOT. Unfortunately we seem to be at the end of Javier's route and they are pretty cold when he arrives. I need to find a way to heat them back to tasty freshness or else get Javier a portable toaster oven for his bike Smile
